Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (1997) is widely considered the best entry in the original PS1 trilogy. Naughty Dog refined everything — tighter controls, better level design, and the iconic warp room hub. It sold over 7 million copies worldwide.

PAL versions dominate the European secondhand market. Complete copies (disc, manual, case) in good condition command a premium. Black label editions are worth more than Platinum reissues. Japanese versions are rarer in Europe and priced accordingly.
