Sonic Triple Trouble

Sonic Triple Trouble (known as Sonic & Tails 2 in Japan) is a 1994 Game Gear exclusive that often gets overlooked in the Sonic lineup. It's arguably the best Sonic game on the platform — tight controls, solid level design, and gameplay that actually holds up.

Collectors value it because it's one of the stronger handheld Sonic titles from the original era. Loose carts are common enough, but complete-in-box copies with the manual have been climbing steadily. The Game Gear's smaller library means key titles like this get extra attention.

When buying, check the label for fading — Game Gear carts are notorious for it. Test the cartridge if possible, since corroded contacts are common. For boxed copies, inspect the cardboard for crushing and make sure the manual is present, not just the box.
