Sony Trinitron CRT Television

1970–2004

About this item

The Sony Trinitron is the most iconic consumer CRT television line ever made. Launched in 1968 with Sony's patented aperture grille technology, Trinitrons dominated living rooms for three decades with sharper images, brighter colours, and longer-lasting tubes than any other CRT brand. The KV-series consumer Trinitrons (KV-14, KV-21, KV-28, KV-32) are now sought-after retro gaming displays — second only to professional PVMs for connecting classic consoles via SCART and RGB.

The Dutch market is full of these as Trinitrons were the premium TV choice in 80s and 90s households. Working KV-series sets trade between €75 and €300 depending on size, condition, and features. Larger 28" and 32" models with SCART RGB inputs command higher prices from retro gamers.

RetroMarketCap tracks live Sony Trinitron CRT TV prices across Vinted, Marktplaats, and eBay in the Netherlands and Europe.
